nikkibridesmaid asked: What are your views on the tooth tablet things? I want to try them out but I'd like to know if they taste decent and actually work.
To be quite honest, I hate them. Granted, I’ve only tried one kind, one time. But it was enough to make me regret that purchase immediately. Now, I bought the “Dirty” kind so perhaps other flavors are better. But this one just tasted like I was chewing chalk. It didn’t feel refreshing or clean in the least.
I’d ask for a sample first to see if it’s your thing. The texture and lack of refreshing flavor just didn’t work for me. Although the price is not high, I don’t think they are worth buying unless you could try them first!
Hope this helps.

Product Review: LUSH COSMETICS: Dreamtime Bath Melt
When should you drop this luxuriously creamy, sleep-inducing herbal bath melt into the water? Bedtime! It may look small, but its secret strengths lie in its seductive scent. Dreamtime is a natural sleep remedy that makes your worries fade away with all of the most calming and relaxing essential oils we could think of - jasmine, lavender, chamomile and sandalwood. Melt one of these into your tub when you need softer skin and pleasant dreams. Kiss insomnia goodnight. Slip one of these dreamy wonders into your bath when you need a relaxed mind and body. Soaking in melted cocoa butter hydrates and softens your entire body. Exotic sandalwood aids restful sleep and relaxes you head to toe.
I love this product. No. I do. I love it. I love, love, love it. I originally bought the “You’ve Been Mangoed” melt, and my husband got it and this mixed up during a gift exchanged (he bought it). As it turned out, I had a handmade artisan bath bomb and body cream that I’d got as gifts, so it turned out to be a really great bath experience. I halved my bath melt and bomb and put them in together, with a bit of epsom salt. My bath water was gorgeous, smelled incredibly relaxing and was very moisturizing. I actually ended up nodding off in the tub for a little bit.
After my bath, I used the lavender body cream to lock in the moisture and went to bed feeling perfectly relaxed. I am so excited that I have some of this left. I will definitely be using it again. Between the bomb and the melt, there were little flowers floating in my bathwater. It did exactly what it claimed to, and I felt like a Queen using it.

Catastrophe Cosmetic - Fresh Face Mask
“Fresh blueberries are rich in beneficial antioxidants, vitamins and minerals to reduce inflammation and act as a mild antiseptic. Soothing chamomile, Irish moss and almond oil work with the gentle cleansing action of calamine to save your skin. Apply to clean skin, avoiding the eye area. Leave for five to ten minutes, then rinse away. ”
Catastrophe Cosmetic is a refreshing face mask filled with delicious blueberries to soothe the skin when you feel a breakout coming on. This was the first fresh face mask I purchased, and I’ve purchased it several times since! Its scent is pleasant, slightly floral or fruity but light, and it reminds me of summertime. Applying this cool mask to the face feels wonderful and leaves skin feeling super soft, refreshed, and clean. It’s packed with fresh ingredients that do wonders for my skin. It lessens redness and can even prevent a breakout if you feel one coming on. If you want your face refreshed, this is the mask for you! It doesn’t have much exfoliation, so it’s kind to sensitive skin.
Overall: Smells great, softening, calming refreshing for all types of skin | 5/5
“Incredibly soothing body lotion for troubled skin. Dream Cream is LUSH’s best-selling product because it makes sore skin feel good again. Chamomile and lavender calm irritations, reduce redness and banish blotches”
Dream Cream is as close as you can get to putting a dream in a bottle. It’s like a cloud in lotion form. Fluffy language, although um, fluffy, is exactly what this product conjures up. Dream Cream makes my mind wander to soft pillows and silk and big puffy clouds. Can you tell that I love this product? Dream Cream is perfect for troubled skin, especially sensitive skin like my own. I’ve found this product helpful to general skin problems from shaving irritation to even eczema. It’s also very helpful after a day of sun exposure and soothing that pesky sunburn. It’s slightly greasy but the feeling doesn’t linger. The scent is very natural, earthy, and gets better as you wear it. I love everything about Dream Cream, and I think it’s one of the best skin moisturizers I’ve ever tried. It will lift your skin and your mood to the clouds!
Overall: Pleasant scent, effective, moisturizing, versatile | 5/5
Love Lettuce - Fresh Face Mask
“Balancing face mask for normal to oily skin. Love Lettuce is a mask which gives as it takes away. On the taking away side you’ve got Fuller’s earth and kaolin which are clays to dig deep and extract dirt. Then you have ground almonds and almond shells which you massage in to exfoliate away old skin cells and smooth your skin. On the giving side you have a decoction of agar agar seaweed with lots of lovely minerals to be absorbed into your skin, plus moisturising almond oil and balancing lavender to control oils. All fair in love and lettuce.”
Love Lettuce is a fresh, exfoliating face mask. It must be purchased from the store, as it must be chilled. (It can be ordered online in the UK.) This mask is very pleasant to use, even if it gives you a very green face for a few minutes while you wear it! The scent is very natural, but not strong. It reminds me of a garden. The fresh ingredients really show their power. While the mask is being washed off, almonds exfoliate the skin and help remove dead skin cells. After the mask is removed, my skin felt softer and fresher than ever before! It truly feels like a breath of fresh air. This is my favorite fresh face mask from Lush. It has it all - exfoliation, pleasant scent, and incredible freshness for your skin. And, as always, a little goes a long way!
Overall: Fresh, exfoliating but not harsh, softening, refreshing. | 5/5
“Sea salt shampoo for shine, softness and big endowments. This pot of oceanic goodness is 50% sea salt to give limp hair the volume it deserves, with seaweed infusion to soften hair and citrus juices for shine. After using Big, your hair will be bouncing back to life.”
Big Shampoo is a very unique hair product. At first, I didn’t like the smell. Now? I love it! It’s beachy salt and lemon scent and texture feels like a summer vacation. The salt is exfoliating and very little product goes a long way. I’ve had the same container since November (that’s about 7 months!), and I have semi-short hair. You only really need a dime-sized amount and it works into a great lather. My hair is full of shine afterwards and smells very clean. The salt in this shampoo could be harsh on some hair types or color-treated hair, however. If so, this shampoo could be used as a once-a-week treatment rather than a daily cleanser. But overall, I understand how Big Shampoo is in Lush’s Top 5 hair products. Its unique formula is truly something you must try!
Overall: Long-lasting, unique, gives big shine, great smell | 5/5
